Abstract

Today, with the progress and development of human societies and technology, energy plays a great role in human life. Man needs energy to provide the light and heat he wants. Humans have been using fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gas to provide their necessary energy since ancient times. But now, with the expansion of the population of societies and the advancement of technology in various fields, these resources are not responding to the ever-increasing human need for energy. This is while the sources of fossil fuels cause environmental pollution and many problems. Also, it takes millions or even billions of years to replace these resources in nature. It is even possible that these resources will run out in the not too distant future. Due to the importance of this issue, today the world is looking to create new technologies for using clean and renewable energies and converting them into different energies needed by humans. It can be boldly said that solar energy has found a very important position among new energies, and despite its many uses, efforts are still being made to produce technologies for the use of this energy. In this article, an attempt has been made to evaluate the potential of Iran for the use of this widely used energy by introducing solar energy and the general technologies of its use, and by comparing Iran's performance with successful examples, to examine its weaknesses and strengths.
