This study examines the diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to liver diseases from the perspectives of two prominent figures in Iranian medical history, Seyyed Ismail Jorjani and Hakim Avicenna (Ibn Sina). Jorjani, emphasizing the analysis of temperaments and the use of herbal remedies, has provided a specialized and precise approach to treating liver diseases. In contrast, Avicenna applied a comprehensive and systematic approach, exploring the role of the liver within bodily systems and offering diverse treatments. This research aims to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each approach and evaluate the practical applications of traditional theories in modern treatments. By comparing traditional and modern methods, the study offers recommendations for improving diagnostic and therapeutic processes for liver diseases. The ultimate goal of this research is to enhance treatment quality through the integration of traditional knowledge and modern techniques, thus improving therapeutic outcomes in contemporary medicine.
