The population growth in recent decades and the increasing consumption of non-renewable energies and the high costs of this type of energy, as well as the unfortunate consequences of energy consumption on the environment, have pushed mankind in the direction of trying to consume as little and clean energy as possible. . Architecture is no exception to this rule and architects have always thought of providing designs with minimum energy consumption and the highest efficiency. Since the amount of energy consumption of buildings is much higher than the transportation and industry sectors, it is necessary to minimize this amount of energy consumption by using new design strategies. The shell of the building is one of the major and main parts of the building, which has the largest contribution in relation to the internal space and the external environment of the building, for this reason, any changes in the external and internal environment of the building can be an effect of the building shell. Nowadays, one of the ways to reduce energy consumption is to make buildings smarter, especially building shells. The smart shell is a facade that reacts to its surrounding environment, is flexible and works to optimize the interior space of the building and improve the comfort conditions of users in cases such as the amount of incoming light, natural ventilation, improvement of acoustic conditions, etc. provides.
