The reason for the inability of primary school students to memorize and read the poems of the Persian book published in 1401-1400

Acquainting them with various concepts and facts provides them with extensive knowledge and extensive information. The type of vocabulary used in children's poetry and its compatibility with the child's abilities and capabilities are of particular importance. By knowing the relative frequency of the basic vocabulary, it is possible to design appropriate educational content to have the greatest efficiency for children. Since the poems in the elementary Persian book are also part of the educational content, the list of basic words in it should be analyzed. Therefore, the importance and necessity of research is felt. This research was done by content analysis method. In this way, all the words in the first to fifth Persian poems were extracted and then compared with Nematzadeh's book of basic Persian words, the basic words were identified. The obtained results show that first the basic vocabulary is at its highest level from the first grade, then it goes down until the third grade, and then an increasing trend is observed until the fifth grade, considering the importance of vocabulary frequency in all grades and Especially the second period of elementary school, which was identified with the lowest frequency of words used. This factor is the main reason for students' inability to retain even correct reading and proper understanding of poetry.
