This issue presents scholarly contributions focusing on climatic design strategies, indigenous architectural technologies, energy optimization, architectural semiotics, and heritage analysis within Iranian contexts. The published studies examine airport design principles in hot and humid climates with emphasis on lightweight structural systems as key architectural elements, and analyze the role of semiotics in shaping the identity of landmark cultural buildings in contemporary Iranian architecture.

The issue further explores elderly care facility design grounded in green living principles to enhance environmental quality, and proposes an energy-efficient roadside accommodation design along the Yazd–Na'in route utilizing traditional architectural strategies. The performance of dynamic smart façade systems in optimizing building energy consumption is also assessed from a technical and functional perspective.

Additional contributions evaluate windcatchers (badgirs) as indigenous climatic technologies and their impact on thermal and environmental comfort in historical buildings of Yazd, and provide an analytical study of the architectural ornamentation and visual characteristics of the Shah Mosque (Masjid-e Jame Abbasi) in Isfahan.

All contributions have undergone a rigorous peer-review process and aim to strengthen the integration of climatic knowledge, sustainable technologies, and architectural heritage within contemporary design discourse.
