The effect of stress and anxiety on coronary heart disease referred to the 4030 system of the Ministry of Health

Abstract

Anxiety and stress can affect corona. The aim of the current research is to investigate the effect of anxiety and stress on contracting corona disease. For this purpose, among the callers to the 4030 system who called from all parts of Iran, 200 people were selected with informed consent and ethical considerations in the age range of 20 to 60 years using the available sampling method. The samples were collected using DASS-21 questionnaire was conducted, and in this research, only two subscales of anxiety and stress of this questionnaire were used. Chi-square test was used for inferential data analysis. The results showed that there is a significant difference between the two groups with and without corona in terms of the level of anxiety and stress, and people with high anxiety and stress were more infected with corona (P>0.001). According to the obtained results, it can be said that long-term stress and anxiety can affect the risk of infectious diseases.
