In recent years, the use of rubberized tires in asphalt mixtures has become an interesting option for road engineers. For this purpose, in the present article, a review of past research has examined the possibility of using recycled rubber substrates from worn tires on the properties of asphalt mixtures. The results of this study indicate that the use of worn tires in the production of asphalt, in addition to the positive environmental and economical aspects of the recycling of rubbers, increases the resistance properties and also increases the flexibility of asphalt mixtures.
