Abstract

The principle of human dignity is one of the legal issues. Human dignity is the innate value or merit of every human being that exists despite the identity and human nature of every human being and is known as the philosophical basis of all human rights. This principle, which is sometimes referred to as the "principle of human dignity" or "the principle of honor or human dignity", has been identified in numerous international and regional human rights documents and even in human rights related documents. Doshti has also emphasized on the observance of this principle and the need to respect human dignity. Here, briefly, the concept and meaning, sources and position of this principle and other related topics are discussed. In this research, which has been carried out in a descriptive-analytical way, the jurisprudential requirements and contraindications of human dignity and its components have been analyzed based on Islamic wisdom.
